When your PERIOD shows up like an uninvited guest banging on your front door every month, all you want to do is eat chocolates and cupcakes all day.

Never let anyone stop you from pampering yourself when you are on your PERIOD because hey there, your uterus is doing a lot of shedding and that’s hard work.

Here are some AWESOME HACKS to ease all that suffering.

  • HEATING PAD TO RELIEVE MENSTRUAL CRAMPS.

Heating Pads have been used and advocated for years as they provide relief and ease the pain of menstrual cramps. Make your own Heating Pad with things that you will easily find in your house.

Use a 100% cotton, knee high sock . Fill  the socks up with rice and tie a knot on the open end. Place the sock in the microwave for 2 mins. And your heating pad is ready for use.  

 Caution : Make sure it’s not extremely hot before you place it on your belly.

  • EMERGENCY PERIOD KIT

If you are  expecting your period anytime soon then, it is mandatory that you have an emergency period kit with you at all times especially when you are traveling outside.

Use a fancy makeup bag that can be carried in your purse in the event that your period sneaks up on you. In it,  include some sanitary pads, an extra pair of undies, some chocolates to satisfy your sweet tooth and some menstrual pain relief medicines. This way you’re prepared no matter when your PERIOD sneaks up on you.

  • ICE COLD WATER FOR WASHING STAINS

Stained underwear is a part and parcel of having your PERIOD. It's annoying and it requires quick action . Thank your lucky stars, here's a genius way to clean the stain.

Soak the stained area in ice cold water. Apply toothpaste with the help of a toothbrush and let the toothpaste dry. Then wash with detergent and rinse with cold water again. The stain will be gone for good.

  • EAT RIGHT TO BEAT THE CRAMP

When you suffer from headaches and painful cramps, it's time to grab some bananas  because this fruit is rich in potassium and vitamin B6. Hence, it will stop you from feeling bloated and reduce muscle cramping.

Also add foods like nuts, seeds ,eggs and leafy greens to your diet because these are rich in iron, magnesium , omega 3’s and vitamin b-12 .

  • DRINK UP RIGHT

Avoid drinking a lot of tea or coffee during your PERIOD because caffeine can increase cramping, headaches, bloating and mood swings .

Treat yourself to a cup of piping hot delicious GINGER TEA instead because ginger helps in relieving nausea and an upset stomach. 

  • SEA SALT BATH

Add some sea salt to your bath water The crystals of sea salt helps to relax the body and relieve body aches and pains while also soothing tension in muscles.
